Outside of sechselauten, we also took in some other highlights for the weekend.. we ate every dinner at the lake picnic-style. Jack and Kate LOVED riding the kiddie rides set up for the festival, and at the end of the festivities, we found a band playing by the lake - and Jack and Kate broke out in dancing form - they loved every minute of it (picture attached).
We also joined a gym that is literally a 2 minute walk from our new house this weekend - they have a great kids area that we tried out, and both Kate & Jack loved it... so we signed up.
Finally, we found a wonderful Catholic church (walking distance from our apartment) that has a English mass - it was fantastic. Jack opted to join the "kids church service" midway through church, and Kate was content to play at the back of the church with all the other unruly 1-2 year olds. We celebrated our good fortune by having our first meal out at a restaurant - Bohemia Cafe, which serves an American-style breakfast on weekends (pictures attached). All in all, it was a perfect weekend.
