On Monday, my sister Susan and her husband Eric, welcomed their much-anticipated twins to the world... At 8:18am, Benjamin Nelson Samuel (6 lbs, 11 oz) and Caroline Helen Pauline (6 lbs, 4 oz) Fleiss arrived to join their big brother Teddy. This statistic alone made me pause, as Jack was 6 lbs, 3 oz and Kate was 6 lbs, 10 oz... that means Susan carried all the babies I've ever carried at once. WOW!
Susan did so well with the pregnancy - she made it to her scheduled c-section date (at 38 weeks!), and everything went really well with the delivery. It brought tears to our eyes to see the attached photos - we are so happy for all the Fleiss family, and cannot wait to meet our new niece and nephew in LA this summer.

Teddy appears to be doing well with the transition to "big brother" status. After a few days, he stopped introducing the twins as "Dora and Diego," and has shifted to their real names... and in the meantime, he is enjoying all the attention from grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. And Susan and Eric are doing great - taking it all in stride, and enjoying this special time with their new family.
It is times like this that it is REALLY hard to be so far from home... we have been talking to the gang frequently, but nothing replaces the real thing. We are literally counting down the days to our visit.
