With Jay gone to the US for a week, the poor kids were without their "stay-at-home" ying to my "let's see all of Europe in a weekend" yang. So off we went... although we missed Daddy quite a bit, we took advantage of the time to keep busy - and take in the sites of Zurich (with a car, no less!).. in reality, it just meant that we visited Starbucks far more often than usual (see attached picture) and that we were busy at home, putting together Ikea furniture. The picture above is taken from our beautiful garden, where the hydrangeas are in full bloom.
Included in the photos are some of Jack and Kate's new favorite mode of getting around town - holding hands! It may be a short-lived phenomenon, but lately Jack has decided that Kate makes for a pretty good playmate - and is quick to point out everything around town as they walk down the sidewalk, holding hands. When she says something she recognizes, Jack says, "yes, that's right Katie, you're getting it!" Music to this mother's ears...
