Greve in Chianti

On Tuesday, we decided to venture into the Chianti region, and drove into the adorable town of Greve for the morning. The kids loved exploring the little town square and all of the cute shops. Strangely, though, their favorite thing was the enoteca (wine store/museum) where we went for a tour, followed by some olive oil and wine tasting. They were mostly fascinated by the machines that poured the wine for you, but nonetheless, it was harder getting them to leave the wine museum than we had thought.

Fortunately, more gelato and pasta awaited us for lunch... this time, the kids knew exactly what they were getting into and picked out their favorite flavors from the day before.

We made it back to the house early and enjoyed a long afternoon of swimming and playing around the house. Today, the terraced wall was transformed from the "milk restaurant" to the Buzz Lightyear Liftoff station as both kids mastered the "to infinity and beyond" jump into their dad's arms.
